Welcome To Troop 700

Troop 700 was established in 1971, and is chartered by First Presbyterian Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The Troop meets every Tuesday, 7:00-8:30 PM in Fellowship Hall on the church grounds. The Troop Committee meets on the third Tuesday night of each month at 6:30 PM in Fellowship Hall. Please feel free to drop in and check-out our Troop. Our Mission is to have every boy between the ages of 11 and 18 involved in Scouting. The Scouting program is an unbelievable program that will help a young man grow in Character, Spiritual Growth, Good Citizenship, Sportsmanship, Fitness, Family Understanding, Respectful, Personal Achievement, and Friendly. All of this while having the fun and adventure of a lifetime. These boys will grow to be a person of self worth, who is self-reliant, dependable, and a caring individual. Since 1910, Scouting has been weaving lifetime values into fun and educational activities designed to do all of this. What do these boys learn in Scouting? Well, it is a lot more than crafts, games, and outdoor skills. All of the programs in which these boys will participate are carefully designed to teach them something they will use throughout their life.

In a society where boys are often taught that winning is everything, Scouting teaches him to “do his best” and be helpful to others as expressed in the Scout Oath. These values help your son make good decisions throughout his lifetime and give him confidence as he becomes an adult leader of tomorrow.
